That pledge has been my focus during the past eight years. I want to remain in my role as your neighborhood advocate and continue the progress that we, in the 4th District have made to improve our Mishawaka community. 6th District Candidate:     Dave Schmidt

Text Box: "Mishawaka is a great city. Yet I want it to become an even better hometown for families, for seniors, and for young adults who are making he transition from school to adulthood. I believe that each family ought to have the opportunity to have the success raising their kids that Carol and I have had. I also see Mishawaka becoming in the years ahead an even more desirable place to retire, especially for those with modest resources.  I also believe that Mishawaka must offer our local kids an attractive future.  We must lead the region in creating decent jobs and affordable housing for young adults.  These decent jobs and affordable housing will certainly help our local graduates get a good start on life.  Good jobs and housing will also draw other creative and talented young adults to our community.  If Mishawaka becomes the hometown of these young adults, then our future will be bright indeed.
In representing the Sixth District of Mishawaka, I will seek to earn the respect of my colleagues on the Council, the Mayor and his staff, and the voters of my District.  I will do so by taking responsibility to help govern our City in a way that makes life better for everyone.  We have a heritage to honor and a future to build.

- Dave Schmidt

At-Large Candidate:        Mike Hodgson

Text Box: "I am a lifelong resident of Mishawaka and a graduate of Mishawaka High School. My wife and I have raised our two children, Alexia and Michael here. They have both attended Mishawaka High School and now reside in Mishawaka. Because my family lives here and because we love Mishawaka, I am invested in keeping Mishawaka a great place to live. I believe that the best way for me to do this would be to serve on the Mishawaka City Council and to voice the needs and thoughts of Mishawaka's residents in that forum."
